Firm Earns Certification for 2nd Consecutive Year in Partnership with Diversity Lab

Much Achieves Mansfield Certification Plus

Much is proud to announce that our firm has achieved Mansfield Certification Plus for the second consecutive year as part of its ongoing commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal industry. In 2022, Much achieved Midsize Mansfield Rule Certification through participation in Diversity Lab’s pilot midsize program. In the two years following, the firm earned the “Plus” designation, which indicates that Much has not only taken steps to increase inclusivity in leadership but also made measured progress in doing so.

To achieve Mansfield Certification, Much implemented a behavioral science and data-driven approach to increase diversity in leadership. The firm considered broad slates of talent for leadership roles that included at least 30% women, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities. In addition, Much ensured that internal advancement processes are written, clear, and accessible.

Much is proud to be in the company of the 360+ law firms that became Mansfield certified during the 2023-2024 program, including midsize and large firms across the country. We are also proud to participate in the 2024-2025 Mansfield Certification period, a reaffirmation of the firm’s dedication to fair and inclusive talent practices. Over the year-long period, Much will continue to report outcomes to Diversity Lab.

Since partnering with Diversity Lab in 2019, Much has committed to the Mansfield Initiative’s goal of opening the door wider and ensuring that opportunities for advancement are inclusive for everyone. We know that with diverse leadership comes better decisions that reflect the needs of our entire workforce for the benefit of our attorneys, clients, and communities.
