Much Shelist, in keeping with the firm’s longtime commitment to social responsibility, hosted our first-ever client-focused community service event, in partnership with Back 2 School Illinois. Forty attendees, including attorneys, staff, clients and friends of the firm, gathered on Thursday, August 24 to assemble school supply kits and write inspirational notes for Chicago students in need. Matthew Kurtzman, Executive Director of Back 2 School Illinois, kicked off the evening with an inspirational overview of the organization's mission before attendees began assembling 200 kits, customized for four different age groups. After the hard work concluded, guests stuck around to network and enjoy hors d'oeuvres inspired by traditional school lunches.
