Much is pleased to announce that Josh Leavitt, co-chair of the firm's Construction group, was named a 2021 Real Estate/Construction Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal.
Josh was recognized for his work counseling construction industry participants about the risks of failing to adapt to climate change.
In The National Law Journal, Josh says "I'm a construction lawyer, but as a citizen of this planet, I am deeply concerned with climate change. After witnessing damage caused by hurricanes and wildfires, I started thinking about how climate change could impact my clients and their industries. I concluded that as a lawyer, I am able to contribute to the public good by warning industry players ... about the risks of failing to adapt to climate change."
Josh has led several programs and written articles about the evolving standard of care involving climate change, including a recent piece in PE magazine. In August, he joined the Board of Advisors of Jupiter, the leading provider of predictive data and analytics for climate risk and resilience.
The National Law Journal's Trailblazers list salutes lawyers, chosen from hundreds of nominations, who are agents of change in their respective practice areas.
