He counsels clients in all aspects of patent prosecution and patent counseling, including opinion work specific to freedom to operate, invalidity, non-infringement, patentability, and industry landscape analyses. Chris has developed patent portfolios for several developmental stage biologics and counsels clients on patent term extensions, adjustments, and FDA exclusivity.
Chris is well-versed in all phases of domestic and foreign patent prosecution, and his patent procurement experience involves preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications for clients in the life science and chemical areas, with particular emphasis on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and small molecule arenas. Chris also has experience with a variety of post-grant proceedings, including reexaminations, European oppositions, and inter partes reviews.
