Laura helps clients navigate a variety of complex litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, shareholder and fiduciary duty disputes, restrictive covenants, and employment discrimination. She works with a diverse client base, including large companies, small family-owned businesses, and individuals spanning the restaurant, manufacturing, cannabis, health care, gaming, and technology industries.

Laura defends clients against class action suits ranging from claims of privacy breaches to wage and hour violations. She has substantial experience defending against claims brought under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Laura advises employers on issues pertaining to termination and discipline, compliance with federal and state civil rights laws, OSHA and safety regulations, data privacy, and development of general employment/handbook policies.

Laura is committed to pro bono work, including providing general employment counsel and compliance training to various nonprofits. She also works on court-appointed appellate matters such as requests for habeas corpus relief.
