Marc utilizes his broad business and legal experience to represent clients in corporate formation and governance, corporate transactions, financial and lending transactions, and real estate transactions. Marc regularly advises clients on various matters and agreements involving consulting services, product sales and distribution, co-packing and co-manufacturing, sale and licensing of online services, and financing transactions. Additionally, Marc is well-versed in the formation of private charitable foundations and has served as outside general counsel to the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago and its various affiliated charitable entities since 1995.
Marc also has 25+ years of experience with construction matters, which began with representing clients in mechanics lien litigation and grew to encompass advising owners, contractors, architects, and engineers on construction, design services, and EPC project agreements, with a particular focus on the use of the AIA construction, design-build, and design contract sets for various projects, including: high-rise office, residential, co-op and hotel projects, parking garages, industrial buildings and warehouses, museums and theaters, universities, tenant buildouts for offices, restaurants and stores, high-end residences, and process, manufacturing, and chemical plants. Marc has also brought his corporate experience to bear in advising contractors and design firms in the formation of construction services joint ventures for large public projects, including the preparation and negotiation of project joint venture agreements.
